What did you do this past week?

I feel like I haven’t been doing enough for this class. I am going to really buckle down now and get some work done on the project soon.

What’s in your way?

All that is in my way is Docker. It’s still very confusing.

What will you do next week?

I am going to finish up Collatz and study up on Docker.

If you read it, what did you think of the makefile?

It seemed pretty straight forward. I looked at this last semester as well so a lot of it looked familiar.

What was your experience of Docker? (this question will vary, week to week)

Even though I took software engineering last semester, it still baffles me. I usually have no idea what is going on with it, but it is starting to make more sense. Especially after these last couple of lectures.

What was your experience of assertions? (this question will vary, week to week)

I had learned a little bit about assertions in operating systems with Norman as well as software engineering with Downing.

What was your experience of unit tests? (this question will vary, week to week)

It was really interesting! I already had a pretty good understanding of it because of software engineering last semester.

What made you happy this week?

I am teaching my pug how to use buttons to communicate and his training is actually going really well! He is a super smart little guy. He will press buttons when he is hungry, wants to play, or wants some food. He knows the play button the best (go figure). He is also already bell trained and has been doing a really great job at staying quiet during classes recently. Last semester it was kind of rough but he is doing a lot better now!

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to NOT procrastinate. I feel like I sometimes fall prey to this early in the semester, so let’s not make that mistake again haha.
