What did you do this past week?

My partner and I started project 5! We got the GitLab setup, the makefiles working, a lot of the directory set up, the input working for all of the HackerRank files, and the conway HackerRank passing. All in all, I feel like we did pretty well.

What’s in your way?

I think that my partner and I are just a bit confused about how we are going to translate our code to the various cpp and hpp files.

What will you do next week?

I am hoping that my partner and I finish the fredkin and life HackerRank tomorrow so that we can start working on the gitlab until the deadline.

If you read it, what did you think of the What Happens to Us Does Not Happen to Most of You?

I haven’t read it yet but I am very excited, considering the title.

What was your experience of Life and inheritance? (this question will vary, week to week)

It was nice! I actually really enjoyed this week’s lectures. They made more sense than some of the others.

What made you happy this week?

I was really sick this week. I got my second COVID-19 vaccine about two weeks before I got my first symptoms. I was worried that I got COVID-19 right after my second vaccine but before I was technically fully vaccinated, so I went to go get tested on campus. It turned out negative, so that was really good news! The thing that made me the happiest is all the people that came together to try to help me get better! It made me feel super special and happy! :)

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is the same as every time I start a new project: start as early as possible.
